Lumens measure how much light you are getting from a bulb. More lumens means it’s a brighter light; fewer lumens means it’s a dimmer light. When we measure light, we are interested in how many Lumens fall on a surface; this is what we know as lux. One lux is one lumen per square meter.
\nLux is important to determine brightness within different areas of the beam spread and is usually provided by the manufacturer as a diagram of beam shape with different colors for different Lux values.
